The GoHighLevel wallet balance is the prepaid credit that pays for texts, calls, email and AI usage, and it auto-recharges your card on file when the balance falls below the threshold you set; if the balance drops below 50% of that threshold, HighLevel's help center says outbound email and SMS stop. You set the minimum and the recharge amount under Agency View, Settings, Billing, Wallet and Transactions. Two terms-of-service points matter: unused wallet funds can become HighLevel's property 30 days after cancellation, and fees are non-refundable. So set the recharge amount high enough that messages never stop, and low enough that a cancelled account does not strand money.
How does the GoHighLevel wallet balance and auto-recharge work?
The GoHighLevel wallet is a prepaid balance that usage is deducted from, topped up automatically by the recharge amount when it falls below your threshold.
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Wallet | A prepaid balance that usage (LC Phone, LC Email, AI and other charges) is deducted from. |
| Threshold ("when balance is lower than") | The balance at which an automatic top-up is triggered. |
| Recharge amount | How much HighLevel charges your card to refill. |
| Where to set it | Agency View, Settings, Billing, Wallet and Transactions, per HighLevel's pricing guide. |
| Stop rule | The balance has to stay at or above 50% of the threshold for LC Phone and LC Email; below that, outbound email and SMS are stopped (see HighLevel's help article). |

Why did GoHighLevel stop sending my texts and emails?
GoHighLevel stops sending texts and emails when the wallet balance falls below half of your threshold, so check the balance, the card and the recharge amount first.
- Check the wallet balance against your threshold. Below 50% of the threshold, sends stop.
- Check the card. An auto-recharge that fails leaves the balance low.
- Check the recharge amount. If one busy day uses more than one recharge, the balance falls again before the top-up lands.
- Check registration for texting separately. A balance problem and an A2P problem look alike. See A2P rejections.
- Read the Execution Logs of the workflow to see where it stopped. See workflows not triggering.
How should an agency set the wallet for clients who rebill?
If you rebill usage on the $297 or $497 plans, the wallet is where the cost lands first and your client's invoice comes later, so a small wallet protects you from a runaway workflow. Set a recharge amount near one month of expected usage (the GoHighLevel cost calculator gives a figure), monitor the first month, and alert yourself on low balance. The rebilling rules are in the plan comparison.
What happens to the wallet if you cancel?
The terms say unused wallet funds can automatically become HighLevel's property 30 days after cancellation, and that fees are non-refundable. Run the balance down before you cancel and do not top up in the last month. See the refund policy.
For what a typical month draws from the wallet, see the usage cost model.
