What do US texting registration fees cost in GoHighLevel?
US texting registration in GoHighLevel costs $22.50 one-time for sole proprietor and low-volume brands and $64 for high volume, plus a monthly campaign fee of up to $10.50.
| A2P 10DLC type | One-time registration | Monthly campaign fee |
|---|---|---|
| Sole proprietor | $22.50 | Up to $2.10 per campaign |
| Low volume standard | $22.50 | $1.50 to $10.50 per campaign |
| High volume standard | $64.00 | $10.50 per campaign |
Twilio's documentation says anyone sending SMS or MMS over a 10DLC number to the US must register for A2P 10DLC (Twilio A2P 10DLC docs). HighLevel's LC Phone guide says registration and carrier pass-through fees get a fixed 5% markup at sub-account level only when rebilling is enabled. Check the registration fees in your account before you quote. If registration is rejected, see why A2P 10DLC registration fails and how to fix it.
How much does a month of follow-up texting cost? A worked example
Take a business that gets 300 new leads a month, texts each lead 6 times (a short sequence), and receives about 1.5 replies per lead.
| Line | Arithmetic | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Outbound texts | 300 leads x 6 texts = 1,800 segments x $0.00747 | $13.45 |
| Inbound replies | 450 replies x $0.00747 | $3.36 |
| Carrier fees (assumption: about $0.004 per outbound segment) | 1,800 x $0.004 | $7.20 |
| Emails | 300 leads x 8 emails = 2,400 x $0.675 per 1,000 | $1.62 |
| Local number | 1 number | $1.15 |
| A2P campaign (low volume, example) | One campaign, mid-range | about $6.00 |
| Total usage | about $33 |
The carrier-fee and campaign figures are our assumptions (the guide gives per-carrier examples and a range). The point is the scale: for a business with a few hundred leads, usage is tens of dollars, not hundreds. It grows with volume, with longer messages and with MMS. Messages with emoji or special characters split into more segments, so keep texts short. See missed call text back for a workflow that sends only when it should.
Total $32.78
- Outbound texts (1,800)$13.45
- Replies (450)$3.36
- Carrier fees (assumed)$7.20
- Emails (2,400)$1.62
- Local number$1.15
- A2P campaign (assumed)$6.00

Why does the GoHighLevel wallet stop sending texts?
Usage is drawn from a prepaid wallet that auto-recharges your card on file when the balance falls below the threshold you set. HighLevel's help center (analysing LC communications spending, modified July 1, 2026) says the balance must stay at or above 50% of the configured threshold for LC Phone and LC Email; below that, outbound email and SMS stop. Set the recharge amount and threshold under Agency View, Settings, Billing, Wallet and Transactions. The detail is in our guide to the GoHighLevel wallet balance and auto-recharge.
