A GoHighLevel consultant tells you what is wrong with your account, what to build next and what to leave alone, before anyone spends money on a build. We open your account with you on a free 30-minute call, audit it there, and you leave with the gaps we found, the order we would fix them in and what that would cost. Any build or fix after that is quoted in writing; you are free to take the plan and do it yourself. If you already know you want the whole account built for you, our GoHighLevel setup agency page covers that project, and our GoHighLevel agency page covers ongoing work. If you are still deciding what kind of help you need, the guide to hiring a GoHighLevel expert compares the options.
What a consultation with us covers
- A live audit of your account: pipelines and stages, fields and tags, calendars, phone and email settings, and every published workflow with its enrolment counts.
- The leaks, ranked: where leads wait, where workflows misfire or double-send, where reports cannot be trusted.
- Platform decisions answered: agency or SaaS mode, the HIPAA add-on, A2P registration, migrate or rebuild.
- A clear next step: fix it yourself, have us fix it, or have us rebuild it, with a written quote if you want one.

What a GoHighLevel consultant does, and what they do not
Consulting is diagnosis and direction. The building comes after, by us or by your own team, and only once you agree with the plan.
| A GoHighLevel consultant does | A GoHighLevel consultant does not |
|---|---|
| Read the account as it is: workflow status, enrolment history, execution logs, field and tag sprawl | Install a snapshot and call it a strategy |
| Find why a workflow misfires, from the execution log rather than a guess | Rebuild everything when two workflows need fixing |
| Design the pipeline and workflow list around how you actually sell | Copy another business's pipeline because it looked good in a demo |
| Make platform calls: Agency Pro and SaaS mode, the HIPAA add-on, A2P, integrations | Recommend features you will pay for and not use |
| Review a build or a quote from another agency and say what is missing | Promise a conversion rate before seeing your leads |

Questions a GoHighLevel consultant answers on the first call
- Why are leads not getting a reply? Usually a trigger filter, a workflow left in draft, or a contact missing the field the condition reads. The execution log shows which.
- Why are texts failing? Most often the A2P brand or campaign is not approved, or the use case does not match the messages being sent.
- Should we run SaaS mode or stay a normal agency? It depends on whether you resell software or deliver a service. SaaS mode needs the Agency Pro plan, plan design and rebilling decided first.
- Do we need the HIPAA add-on? If patient information goes into the account, decide that and the BAA before the first contact goes in.
- Migrate or rebuild? Moving from HubSpot, Keap or Zoho is a data job and a rebuild of the automations; copying old automations as they are rarely works.
- Is the quote we got from someone else reasonable? We tell you what is in it, what is missing and what we would ask before signing.

GoHighLevel consultant vs setup agency vs freelancer
| GoHighLevel consultant | GoHighLevel setup agency | Freelancer | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best when | You have an account, or a decision to make, and need to know what is wrong and what to do | You want the account built for you from start to finish | You know exactly what to build and need hands for a defined task |
| Main output | Diagnosis, priorities and a plan | A tested, documented account and a trained team | The task, done |
| Who designs the system | The consultant, with you | The agency, approved by you | Usually you |
| Risk | Low: you decide what happens next | Low if the plan is written and approved first | Higher if nobody owns the overall design |
With us the first two are the same team: the people on the consultation are the people who would build it. Read the GoHighLevel setup agency page for how a build project runs.
How to vet a GoHighLevel consultant before the call
Hundreds of people call themselves GoHighLevel consultants, and the title proves nothing. Run these checks before you book, whoever you pick.
- Directory. Look the person up in HighLevel's certified admin directory and read the expiry date. Certification is a floor, not a recommendation.
- A recorded walkthrough. Ask for a short screen recording of an account they audited or built, with client details hidden. A consultant who cannot show one has little to show on a call either.
- A depth question. Ask when they would use a tag instead of a custom field, and how they stop a workflow that should have ended. You want a reason, not a definition.
- What you walk away with. A written list of gaps, the order to fix them and a scope you can hand to anyone. If the output is "we should talk about a build", it was a sales call.
- The price of advice. Published freelance consulting runs from about $25 to $100 an hour at the low end, per one seller guide; our consulting rate for one-off work is roughly $75 to $250 an hour, and the first audit call is free.
Our 100-point scorecard puts numbers on these checks, and the hiring guide covers the contract points that matter once you pick someone.
When you do not need a GoHighLevel consultant
If leads are answered within minutes, your team uses the pipeline every day, and reports match what you see in the bank account, you do not need us. The same goes for a simple business with one service and one calendar: HighLevel's own templates and our setup guide will get you most of the way. Bring in a consultant when something costs you leads or hours every week and nobody can say why.

Frequently asked questions about hiring a GoHighLevel consultant
What does a GoHighLevel consultant do?
A GoHighLevel consultant audits your account or your plans, finds what is costing you leads or time, and tells you what to fix first and how. With us that starts with a free 30-minute call with your account open, and any work after it is quoted in writing.
How much does a GoHighLevel consultant cost?
The consultation and the audit on that call are free. If you want us to do the work, basic setup and single-location builds run $500 to $4,000 one-time, white label runs $3,500 to $5,000, multi-location is a custom quote, and ongoing help is a monthly plan. HighLevel's subscription is separate.
Is a GoHighLevel consultant the same as a GoHighLevel expert?
A GoHighLevel consultant and a GoHighLevel expert are not quite the same, though the titles overlap. An expert or specialist usually builds and fixes inside the account; a consultant diagnoses, designs and advises, and may or may not build. If you need the hands-on work, see our GoHighLevel expert service; the guide on how to hire a GoHighLevel expert explains the roles and costs.
Can you review an account another agency built?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people book. We read the workflow list, the execution logs and the pipeline, and tell you plainly what works, what is broken and what is missing. You do not have to switch providers to get the review.
Do I keep ownership of my account and data?
Yes, we work inside your account with you as the owner. Numbers, contacts and workflows stay yours whatever you decide after the call.
Do you work remotely?
Yes, calls run over video with screen sharing, and we work with clients in the USA, UK, Dubai, Canada and the Netherlands. Book a time on the contact page.
