Who is the CEO of GoHighLevel? Shaun Clark is the CEO of GoHighLevel. He is also a co-founder: HighLevel, the company that makes GoHighLevel, was founded in 2018 by Clark, Varun Vairavan (CTO) and Robin Alex (COO), and HighLevel's own investor announcement of April 11, 2024 names him as Co-Founder and CEO. We found no later announcement of a change when we checked on October 18, 2026. The sections below cover who the other founders are, where the company is based, and what the answer does and does not tell you if you are deciding whether to build a business on the platform.

Who is the CEO of GoHighLevel, and who are the other founders?

HighLevel's April 2024 announcement of a minority growth investment names three people. It describes Clark as Co-Founder and CEO, and says co-founders Varun Vairavan (CTO) and Robin Alex (COO) are, along with Clark, the company's largest shareholders.

PersonTitle in the company's own announcementWorth knowing
Shaun ClarkCo-Founder and CEOSome third-party sites spell the first name "Shawn" or "Sean". The company's release uses "Shaun".
Varun VairavanCo-founder, CTOSome third-party profiles swap the CTO and COO titles. We use the titles in the company's release.
Robin AlexCo-founder, COONamed with Clark and Vairavan as one of the largest shareholders.

"GoHighLevel" is the name most people search and the name of the platform. The company calls itself HighLevel, and its legal terms are with HighLevel LLC. Our page on whether GoHighLevel and HighLevel are the same thing explains the naming.

Where did we get this answer, and how recent is it?

Three sources, all from HighLevel or its investor, and one gap we want you to know about.

  • The investor announcement. General Atlantic published HighLevel's announcement on April 11, 2024. It names the three co-founders, their roles and their shareholder position.
  • HighLevel's homepage. On October 18, 2026 its page lists the corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
  • HighLevel's terms of service. The contracting party is HighLevel LLC, and the notice address is in Dallas, Texas.
  • The gap. HighLevel's own "Who We Are" page returned no readable text when we fetched it, so we did not use it. Titles can change after a 2024 announcement. If you are quoting the CEO in a proposal or a press piece, confirm the current title on HighLevel's own site first.

Where is the GoHighLevel CEO based, and where is the company headquartered?

The company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas: that is what HighLevel's homepage says, and the announcement carries a Dallas, TX and New York, NY dateline because it was issued jointly with General Atlantic, which is based in New York. The terms of service give a Dallas mailing address for legal notices (Blair Rd, Dallas, Texas 75231) and say Texas law governs. A notice address is not the same as an office, and neither source says where Clark personally works, so we do not state that.

Does it matter who runs GoHighLevel if you build a business on it?

Who runs GoHighLevel matters a little if you build a business on it, and mostly in one way. HighLevel is private and founder-led: the three founders are among the largest shareholders, and General Atlantic holds a minority stake with board seats. Decisions about pricing, usage fees and which features to build are made by a small group, and the product moves fast. Its public changelog listed ten updates between October 14 and 17, 2026 (see our changelog digest for those four days).

That is our reading, not a claim from HighLevel. The practical point for an agency or a business owner is to build workflows that survive a change: keep a written record of what each workflow does, re-read the changelog before you promise a client something, and budget for usage fees that can change. Our GoHighLevel pricing guide shows the current plan and usage prices with their check dates.

What we could not confirm about HighLevel's leadership and size

QuestionWhat we found
Employee countNot stated in the announcement or on the homepage. Third-party figures exist and differ, so we do not repeat them.
Revenue or valuationNot disclosed. The announcement says growth of more than 5x over three years while staying profitable, with no figures.
Number of customersNot stated. The homepage shows activity totals (calls, leads, appointments, sales) instead of a customer count.
Any change of CEO after April 2024We found no announcement of one.

The full list of claims we checked, with a grade for each source, is in our HighLevel company profile. For the ownership question specifically, see who owns GoHighLevel.
