Zenoti vs GoHighLevel is mostly not a straight swap. Zenoti is med spa operations software: appointment book, point of sale, memberships, inventory, payroll and charting. GoHighLevel is the lead capture, follow-up and marketing layer. Most med spas that use both keep Zenoti as the system of record and let GoHighLevel answer, nurture and win back leads. We read both companies' own pages and developer docs on October 27, 2026. Zenoti publishes its own comparison page, so we kept its claims separate from what we could check.
What is the difference between Zenoti and GoHighLevel?
The difference between Zenoti and GoHighLevel is the center of gravity: Zenoti is built around the treatment room and the till, and GoHighLevel is built around the lead and the conversation.
Zenoti describes its platform, Zenoti OS, as covering operations, transactions and interactions, including scheduling, point of sale, payroll, inventory, online booking and marketing, with optional AI agents (an AI Receptionist, AI Lead Manager and AI Retention Manager) on its AI Plus package. HighLevel sells a CRM with pipelines, a shared inbox for text, email, calls and social messages, workflows, calendars, forms, funnels and websites, reviews and AI features, priced for agencies and single businesses alike.
Both overlap in the middle: online booking, text and email campaigns, review requests and AI that answers leads. That overlap is where the real decision sits.
Zenoti vs GoHighLevel: feature by feature
Zenoti wins on clinical and front-desk operations, GoHighLevel wins on lead handling and flexible automation, and the two tie on basic booking and campaigns. Here is each area, from each vendor's own documentation.
| Area | Zenoti | GoHighLevel | Edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Appointment book | Native appointment book built for providers, rooms and services | Native calendars, including service calendars with rooms and equipment; HighLevel has a med spa service calendar setup guide | Zenoti for a busy multi-provider book |
| Charting and EMR | Native charting, described as AI-assisted | None. Treatment records stay in another system | Zenoti |
| Point of sale and inventory | POS and inventory; Zenoti says injectables deduct from stock when charted | Invoices, payment links and order forms, not a retail POS with stock deduction | Zenoti |
| Memberships and packages | Memberships and packages tied to POS, with membership freeze, cancel and reinstate events | Recurring payments and subscriptions; benefit tracking has to be built with fields and workflows | Zenoti |
| Payroll | Listed on Zenoti's pricing page | Not offered | Zenoti |
| Lead capture and speed to lead | AI Lead Manager on the AI Plus package | Forms, funnels, ads lead forms, missed call text back and instant replies in workflows on every plan | GoHighLevel |
| Sales pipeline for consultations | Not its focus | Pipelines with stages, statuses and lost reasons | GoHighLevel |
| Automation depth | Smart Marketing campaigns triggered by treatment data | Open-ended workflows with branching, waits, webhooks and AI steps | GoHighLevel for custom logic; Zenoti for treatment-based recall out of the box |
| HIPAA | Zenoti's terms include a business associate agreement "if applicable" | Not compliant by default; a $297 a month add-on with a BAA | Confirm a signed BAA with whichever system holds patient data |
| Pricing | Quote only; voice, SMS and messaging are metered | $97, $297 or $497 a month, plus metered texts, calls, email and AI | GoHighLevel is the only one you can price before a sales call |
| Built for agencies | No | Yes: sub-accounts, snapshots, white label, rebilling | GoHighLevel |
| Verdict | Keep Zenoti (or another practice-management system) for the appointment book, charting, POS and memberships. Add GoHighLevel when lead response, consultation follow-up and reactivation are the gap. | ||

Is Zenoti's own comparison with GoHighLevel accurate?
Zenoti's own Zenoti vs GoHighLevel page, dated October 19, 2026, is right about charting, inventory and memberships but overstates one point about scheduling.
The page calls GoHighLevel "a marketing automation layer built for agencies" and says it "always requires a second system". For a med spa that charts treatments, that is fair: GoHighLevel has no EMR and no injectable inventory. The page also says "there is no native appointment book" in GoHighLevel. That is not how HighLevel documents its product: HighLevel publishes a med spa service calendar guide with a service menu, staff, rooms and equipment that are reserved when a booking is made. A fairer statement is that GoHighLevel's booking is general-purpose, while Zenoti's is built around a treatment schedule. Read Zenoti's page yourself; it is a vendor page, and so is this one, since we build on GoHighLevel.
Can GoHighLevel replace Zenoti?
GoHighLevel can replace Zenoti only for a med spa that does not chart in its scheduling system, sells few retail products and does not need payroll in the same tool.
A small aesthetics practice that keeps charts in a separate EMR and takes payments by invoice can run its booking, reminders, reviews and follow-up in GoHighLevel alone. Once you need provider charting, inventory that deducts per unit, POS-linked memberships or payroll, GoHighLevel stops being a replacement. The honest test: list the jobs your front desk does in Zenoti every day and mark each one that GoHighLevel has no equivalent for. If the list has charting or the till on it, keep Zenoti.
Is Zenoti a good alternative for med spas already on GoHighLevel?
Zenoti is a strong alternative for a med spa on GoHighLevel when the pain is operations (charting, inventory, memberships at the till), not lead follow-up.
If your GoHighLevel account is losing leads, moving to Zenoti will not fix the cause; a broken speed-to-lead workflow or a missing no-show sequence moves with you as a habit. If your front desk is juggling a separate POS, a paper chart and GoHighLevel, consolidating operations into Zenoti can make sense, and you can still keep GoHighLevel for marketing. Zenoti does not publish prices, so get a written quote with per-location cost, add-ons and contract length before you compare.
Is there a Zenoti GoHighLevel integration?
We found no native Zenoti GoHighLevel integration on October 27, 2026: Zenoti's integrations page does not list HighLevel, and we found no Zenoti app in HighLevel's marketplace.
Three realistic ways to connect them, from simplest to most robust:
- Zapier. Zenoti has a Zapier app (documented in Zenoti's help center), and HighLevel connects to Zapier. Zenoti events such as a completed appointment can create or update a HighLevel contact. Check which Zenoti triggers your plan exposes before you design around them. Zapier does not sign BAAs, so keep patient health details out of this route; how Zenoti compares with 23 other practice systems is in our EHR integration study.
- Zenoti webhooks into a HighLevel Inbound Webhook trigger. Zenoti documents webhooks for guests, appointments, memberships, packages, invoices and class bookings, set up under Configuration, Integrations, Webhooks. Zenoti says this needs its API package, enabled through your customer success manager. HighLevel's Inbound Webhook workflow trigger receives the call and maps the fields.
- A custom sync through both APIs. For two-way data (for example writing a booked consultation back to Zenoti), a developer uses Zenoti's API and HighLevel's API. This is the most work and the only way to avoid gaps in both directions.
Note what Zenoti's webhook reference lists for appointments: Started, Completed and Feedback Created, plus Appointment Group Created and Status. We did not see a separate "appointment booked" or "no-show" event for regular appointments in that reference (class bookings do have a No Show event), so test what your account actually sends before you build a no-show workflow on it.
How do you run Zenoti and GoHighLevel together?
To run Zenoti and GoHighLevel together, give each system clear ownership of each kind of data, and sync only the events GoHighLevel needs to act on.
- Lead arrives (ad, form, call)
- GoHighLevel replies in minutes
- Consultation booked
- Guest created in Zenoti
- Treatment charted and paid in Zenoti
- Appointment Completed event sent
- GoHighLevel runs rebooking, review and reactivation
| Data | Owner | Why |
|---|---|---|
| New inquiries and ad leads | GoHighLevel | Speed to lead, pipeline and consultation follow-up live here |
| Guest profile after first booking | Zenoti | The front desk and providers work from it |
| Charts, treatment notes, photos | Zenoti only | Keep clinical detail out of a marketing CRM |
| Payments, packages, memberships | Zenoti | Tied to POS and inventory |
| Last visit date and treatment category | Synced to GoHighLevel | Drives rebooking and reactivation timing |
| Marketing consent and campaign history | GoHighLevel | Workflows check consent before sending |
Keep the synced fields generic. "Treatment category: injectables" is enough to time a reminder; the product, units and notes stay in Zenoti. If any health information does reach GoHighLevel, the HIPAA add-on and a signed BAA come first; see whether GoHighLevel is HIPAA compliant and what the HIPAA add-on costs.
What does each cost for a single med spa?
GoHighLevel costs $97 to $497 a month plus usage for a single med spa, and Zenoti costs whatever your written quote says, because Zenoti publishes no prices.
Zenoti's pricing page offers "Get a Quote" for Zenoti OS and its AI agents, says voice, SMS and messaging are metered, and says multi-location pricing is customized. Third-party sites publish estimates, but several are written by Zenoti's competitors, so we do not repeat them. For GoHighLevel, a single spa usually runs on the $97 Starter plan, plus $297 a month for the HIPAA add-on if patient health information goes in, plus texts and calls by use. Model your own usage in our GoHighLevel cost calculator.
Want the two systems wired properly? We are a team of 14 that works only on HighLevel. A single-location setup is $500 to $4,000, quoted in writing after a free 30-minute call where we audit what you have. See GoHighLevel for med spas for the workflows we build, or book the call.
Frequently asked questions about Zenoti vs GoHighLevel
Is Zenoti better than GoHighLevel for a med spa?
Zenoti is better than GoHighLevel for running a med spa's daily operations, because it includes charting, point of sale, inventory, memberships and payroll. GoHighLevel is better for capturing leads, following up on consultations and building custom automations. Many med spas use Zenoti as the system of record and GoHighLevel for marketing.
Does Zenoti integrate with GoHighLevel?
Zenoti does not have a native integration with GoHighLevel that we could find on October 27, 2026. You can connect them through Zapier, through Zenoti webhooks sent to a HighLevel Inbound Webhook trigger, or with a custom API sync. Zenoti says webhooks need its API package, enabled by your customer success manager.
Can I use GoHighLevel instead of Zenoti?
You can use GoHighLevel instead of Zenoti if your med spa does not need charting, retail inventory, POS-linked memberships or payroll in one tool. GoHighLevel has native service calendars, payments and subscriptions. Once providers chart in the scheduling system or stock deducts per unit, GoHighLevel stops being a full replacement.
How much does Zenoti cost compared with GoHighLevel?
Zenoti does not publish prices; its pricing page asks you to request a quote and says multi-location pricing is customized. GoHighLevel lists $97, $297 and $497 monthly plans plus metered usage, and a $297 monthly HIPAA add-on. Compare a written Zenoti quote against your modeled GoHighLevel usage, not against third-party estimates.
Is GoHighLevel HIPAA compliant like Zenoti?
GoHighLevel is not HIPAA compliant by default; HighLevel sells a HIPAA add-on at $297 a month that includes a business associate agreement. Zenoti's terms reference a business associate agreement where applicable. With either system, get a signed BAA before patient health information goes in, and keep clinical notes out of marketing messages.
What is the best way to sync Zenoti appointments to GoHighLevel?
The most reliable way to sync Zenoti appointments to GoHighLevel is a Zenoti webhook, such as Appointment Completed, sent to a HighLevel Inbound Webhook workflow trigger. Map the guest's name, phone, email, last visit date and a generic treatment category. Test which events your account sends before building reminders or no-show steps on them.
Does Zenoti have a CRM?
Zenoti has CRM functions inside its platform: guest profiles, marketing campaigns, review generation and AI lead handling on its AI Plus package. It is built around guests who book and pay, not around a sales pipeline. Med spas that run paid ads with a consultation sales process often add GoHighLevel for that pipeline.
Should a med spa switch from Zenoti to GoHighLevel?
A med spa should not switch from Zenoti to GoHighLevel just to fix lead follow-up, since GoHighLevel can run beside Zenoti for that. Switch only if you are leaving charting and POS somewhere else anyway and want to cut a subscription. Start with an audit of what your front desk does in Zenoti each day.
