Why does my GoHighLevel Instagram DM not send after a comment?
Because a comment does not open Instagram's 24-hour messaging window, and the plain Instagram DM action needs that window. This is the most common mistake when people rebuild a ManyChat flow in GoHighLevel.
HighLevel's Instagram DM action article says the standard action "should only be used to send messages to contacts who have sent a direct message to your connected Instagram business account within the previous 24 hours," and that "a contact commenting on an Instagram post does not automatically establish the 24-hour direct messaging window." It points to a Meta-side change resolved on August 31, 2024.
- For comment-to-DM, use Instagram Interactive Messenger with the reply type Reply to Comment via DM. The trigger must be an Instagram trigger, or the action stays unavailable.
- Use the plain Instagram DM action only after the person has messaged you, for example on a "Customer Reply (Instagram)" trigger.
- If a run shows as executed but nothing arrives, check the workflow's execution details and the Instagram connection under the sub-account's integrations.

- Keyword matching on ad comments. HighLevel's trigger lets you pick a published post or paste a custom post URL. Whether a given ad post works depends on how the ad was published, so test it with your own ads.

How to move a ManyChat comment-to-DM flow into GoHighLevel
- List every live ManyChat flow, its keyword, the post or channel it runs on, and the message it sends.
- Connect the Instagram business account (linked to its Facebook page) to the GoHighLevel sub-account, and TikTok under Settings, Integrations if you use it.
